Wekalpa Wellness: Our USP
Our blend of Ayurvedic and Modern Nutrition principles is the ‘MADE IN INDIA’ answer to the Western Nutrigenetics. Our approach in Wekalpa Wellness is to blend the modern science’s technique of measuring the BODY COMPOSITION PROFILE, and preparing a customized diet plan based on one’s PRAKRUTI (counterpart of genetic composition). This program also comes with an in-depth Dinacharya routine (lifestyle modification) and Paak-Sanskar (way of cooking food so as to make it light for digestion) suitable to the person’s unique prakruti.

Our mission is to create Olympic-ready athletes by providing Personalised Nutrition support from beginner to the elite. This cultivates a strong foundation for long-term success. We care about the fact that just like every individual athlete, every Sport has specific requirements. We help athletes optimise their Performance through Targeted Nutrition strategies.
Personalised & Scientific Approach
Lifestyle Modification & management of metabolic disorders with help of Tailored diet plans. Our scientific approach, based on real-time body profile results help us to deliver well-curated and highly individualised diet plans. The diet plans are inclusive of goal specific/disorder management notes, lifestyle modification tips, mindfulness practices, recipes etc.
Tried and Tested Nutrition Guidance
All the recommendations (recipes, notes, exercise etc) to our clients are tried and tested; by ourselves and on ourselves, first. Ayurvedic lifestyle cannot be applied in its original form in today’s lifestyle and times. Thus, we chose the parts of Ayurveda that will retain the essence of those particular steps, and yet will be applicable and doable today. For 2+ years we have followed most of the suggestions given in Ayurveda, customized as per our own (and our family members’) Prakrutis, and have thus, come up with this unique blend of Modern science and Ayurveda, complete with ways to troubleshoot if the clients face any issues while following the lifestyle, esp the dinacharya and cooking parts. The results that we ourselves saw were compelling, convincing and credible enough for us to believe firmly in Ayurveda, and to recommend it to our clients.
Athlete-Centric Focus
We believe that Peak Performance can be attained only if the Ideal Body Composition is attained, and maintained by the Athlete. The requirements of the Body Composition (muscle%, fat% etc) vary with each Sport, age and gender. Also, if it is team game, the ideal body profile will vary with the ‘role in the team’. Just like training, Nutrition strategies have to be altered accordingly, known as Periodised Nutrition Other aspects like the training duration, frequency and intensity have to be considered while planning the Pre and Post-workout meals, the most important meals for an athlete.
Tournament Diet Plans
Our focus during tournaments is to ‘minimise the loss of muscles and provide sufficient Energy for stamina’. We are aware how challenging it is for the athletes to acclimatize to the changes in weather, routine, food habits of the tournament place, uncertain match timings & durations etc. All these issues make it a difficult task for the athlete and his/her parents to follow a suitable nutrition plan. So, our agenda is to support the athlete’s nutritional needs with the help of easily available and fresh local food.
All Natural Foods
Meeting protein needs is crucial, yet it needs to be done mindfully. It is a concern for pure vegetarians as there are almost no high protein vegetarian foods. It is also a concern for sports persons since the needs are quite high due to heavy wear and tear of muscles. We categorically see to it that we refuse to give protein supplements, esp to sportspersons who are below 15 years of age. We always match the protein requirements with natural sources or foods that are as close to natural as possible.
Convenience
As Nutritionists we know that a Nutrition Plan is supposed to meet the nutritional requirements and be aligned with the health goals. When we are working on any diet plan, the homemaker inside us nudges us to be mindful of the practicalities of executing the diet routine that we are suggesting. It should be also easy to follow, and convenient for the person who is going to cook & prepare the meals.
Consultations
Apart from the basic services of timely in-person followups, in-person consultations & whatsapp support; we provide on location consultations for sports nutrition and Corporate Wellness. Considering the commuting problems in a city like Mumbai, our clients get a privilege to choose the location for their counselling; either our office or a location that is mutually decided.
